Sisters on a regular cycle of 25 to 30 days begin on the first day of your bleed (Day 1). hormone Balance with The Moon & Seeds ::

New Moon: Days 1-14/15 — Follicular Phase

Day 1 of your cycle is the day that menstruation begins, or you first notice bleeding. For peri or post-menopause go by the moon phases. This two-week period (depending on the length of your cycle) is called the Follicular phase. The first phase of your cycle, from the first day of menstruation through ovulation or days 1 - 14/15 of the lunar phase, is when your estrogen levels increase and is the predominant hormone in your body. The combination of pumpkin seeds and flax seeds provides the body with an effective hormonal balance, the lignans in flax bind to estrogen and help to eliminate it from the body. The pumpkin seeds aid your body in the production of progesterone which is released in the luteal phase of your cycle, pumpkin seeds are high in zinc which is essential for progesterone distribution & healthy tissues (yep skin baby).


Flax and pumpkin seeds are a rich sources of omega-3 fatty acids. Ommmmega 3’s nourish your brain and nervous system, increase immunity, reduce inflammation & promote a healthy vascular system (healthy heart)


Full Moon: Days 15-28/29 — Luteal Phase

During the second phase of your cycle; days 15/16 - 28/29 estrogen levels decline and progesterone levels rise, aka the Luteal Phase. As the hormones shift from Ovulation to the Luteal phase (your uterine lining begins to prepare for menstruation) Sesame seeds and sunflower seeds support biological balance, which is essential coz supported womb’s = supported womban. 

Sesame seeds also help the body eliminate excess estrogen. They are rich in selenium and zinc; boosting progesterone and fatty acids, stabilizing progesterone and estrogen as your uterus disseminates.


Why is it so important to eliminate excess estrogen? Build-up of excess estrogen makes it very hard for your womb to bleed and shed the nest she built to create a baby should she be fertilized during ovulation. When your body recognized she hasn’t conceived, she begins to unbuild the nest (Luteal phase; your wombs autumn). Fibroids, brown blood & painful periods can be an indicator that your uterine lining is needing assistance to shed effectively. How to cycle yo’ seeds :: How to make seed cycling your bitch!

Days 1-14/15 (New Moon), 1 tablespoon each of Flax and Pumpkin Seed — Use a mason jar and measure out the amount of seeds you’ll need for the next 14 (ish) days, depending on your cycle. Grind the seeds in a nutribullet or coffee grinder & add into your smoothie, fave smoothie, salad, soup or kitchari (kitchari is a winner for balancing the dosha’s).

Days 15-28/29 (Full Moon), 1 tablespoon each of Sesame and Sunflower Seed — do the same thing when you ovulate or during the full moon to prepare for the next 2-ish weeks.

Commit for 3 full moon cycles (months) to see the best results!
